Filtoclear

The OASE Filto-Clear pressurized filters provide outstanding filtration and are very easy to use. The Filto-Clear can be hidden next to the pond, and water can be pumped uphill through the filter. The Filto-Clear comes complete with an integrated OASE Bitron UVC, inlet and outlet fittings, a multi-directional valve for cleaning and clear rinsing, an integrated cleaning mechanism for filter sponges, and a UV lamp indicator.

Algae and dirt are clumped together by the integrated UVC clarifier. Then the treated water flows through the filter unit's fine mechanical and coarse biological filter elements which support the filtration process and clarify the water. The water then flows back into the pond, either via a waterfall or a water feature.

Cleaning the Filto-Clear filters couldn't be easier. No need to remove the filter lid and deal with the mess. By simply raising the cleaning lever, the filter elements are squeezed, expelling the solid waste. Opening the flush valve allows the solids to be flushed from the filter into your garden by the normal flow of the pump. Then simply turn the rotary switch back to normal to resume normal filtering action.

Cloudy, dirty water and strong algae growth are common problems in ponds. These problems are caused by floating particles due to an excessive supply of nutrients, dead plants, over-fertilized soil, acid rain, fish excrement and left-over food. These particles produce ammonia which is harmful to all living beings. OASE's unique BioTec Filter System transforms ammonia into nitrite using a natural process. The nitrite is then changed into harmless nitrate. Nitrate actually constitutes a healthy nutrient conducive to plant growth. The mechanical filtration process is carried out by various structured foam filters, the biological process through naturally occurring bacteria that settle on bio-elements.

Another unique feature of the BioTec Filter System is the easy handling and cleaning. An indicator automatically shows the degree of pollution and when the filtered biomass must be removed. The filter is cleaned by simply removing the inner dirt tank, rinsing it with clear water, and reinserting it again. The temperature indicator and the BioTec Plus Zone, used for receiving efficient additives, are additional unparalleled characteristics of this unique filter system.
