Through research they discovered other needs in the industry and expanded into areas of Professional Maintenance Services & Custom Built Aquariums. Aquarium Illusions Inc. opened the retail location in 1998 and has expanded 5 times since; with the most recent expansion being the new Online Store. Aquarium Illusions Inc. retail location employs 17 local people.

Aquarium Illusions Inc. specializes in Quarantined Marine Livestock, Corals, Invertebrates, Coral Farming, Rare & Unique Freshwater Livestock, Custom Built Aquariums, Custom Filtration, Custom Cabinetry and Professional Installation & Professional Maintenance Services. Being independently owned, Aquarium Illusions only carries the products & equipment they know to be good. There is no franchise dictating what appears on their shelves. If Aquarium Illusions experiences above normal returns or warranty problems with a product, they pull it from their shelves. They also try out all water additives & food to see if it passes their stringent standards. The maintenance service department allows the company to test and assess numerous products & equipment.
