Saltwater Fish & Invertebrates

Saltwater Fish

With over 3000 gallons in our saltwater fish systems, Aquarium Illusions carries fish for every persons taste. Unlike most stores that have lots of tanks on one filter, we separate ours into 7 independently filtered systems. Each system
utilizes a combination of sump, denitrator, protein skimmer, UV sterilizer, ozone and ammonia tower; each one is monitored and tested daily to ensure our fish are the healthiest available.

Aquarium Illusions nurtures the fish in their store. All fish are fed twice per day with a blend of frozen, seaweed, flake and pellet supplemented with HUFA’s (fatty acids), vitamins and garlic.

We’re proud to say that we carry a huge selection of the most popular fish including surgeons, wrasses, angels, gobies, blennies, triggers, lions and of course clownfish from the industries best captive breeders and MAC certified collectors. Special orders are always welcome.

Invertebrates

One of the most exciting aspects of the hobby is the diversity of life found in a salt water aquarium and our selection of invertebrates can not only help you add life to your system, but keep it clean for you at the same time!

Inverts are grouped into two main categories; the cleaners and the decorators.

Our invert system is always full with skunk, blood and peppermint shrimp, nassarius, cerith, bumblebee, trochus and turbo snails, abalone, hermit, emerald and arrow crabs, urchins and much more. These inverts will add weird and
wonderful movement to your tank, while performing daily maintenance for you.

A healthy system should have a complete cleanup crew to help control unwanted algae and detritus. Based on our experience an average cleanup crew should consist of one hermit crab for every 5 gallons of water, one snail for every 3 gallons, one emerald crab for every 30 gallons, one peppermint shrimp for every 10 gallons and one starfish for every 15-20 gallons.

Decorator inverts add the finishing touch to your system, whether it be a deep blue Linkia star or for the less than faint of heart, a Peacock Mantis!
