Aquarium Illusions Inc. History
Aquarium Illusions Inc. was founded October 1996 & incorporated February 1997. The
company is owned and operated by Randy & Lori Cameron, of St. Albert, Alberta, Canada.
Aquarium Illusions Inc. began as a manufacturer of aquarium backgrounds & accessories.
As hobbyists themselves, and with increased knowledge of the market through relationships
with retailers, wholesalers, and consumers, Randy & Lori discovered other needs in the
industry. This lead Aquarium Illusions Inc. into the areas of Aquarium Maintenance
Services & Custom Built Aquariums.
Aquarium Illusions Inc. opened their retail location in 1998 and has expanded 4 times
since.
Aquarium Illusions Inc. has built their business on a solid reputation of personal,
friendly and knowledgeable service. Aquarium Illusions Inc. continually ‘raises the
bar’ on the industry standards. It is not all about the bottom line with them.
It’s about selling the best products at a competitive price, it’s about selling
the healthiest livestock possible, it’s about providing ongoing support and good
solid knowledge, it’s about helping customers to be successful in the hobby.
Aquarium Illusions Inc. is a growing concern specializing in Quarantined Marine Livestock,
Corals, Invertebrates, Coral Farming, Rare & Unique Freshwater Livestock, Custom Built
Aquariums, Custom Filtration, Custom Cabinetry and Professional Installation &
Professional Maintenance Services. The retail location displays and sells absolutely
everything you need to set up, stock & care for an aquarium system.
Aquarium Illusions Inc. continually researches new & leading technology. They import a
great deal of products, specialty equipment, and specialty lighting from countries that
are more advanced in the aquarium technology.
Pond Pros (also owned by the Cameron’s) operates out of the same retail location.
Here you will find everything you need to design, filter, stock, and care for an indoor,
outdoor pond, water wall, or other water features. Pond Pros designs & installs water
features in both residential & commercial settings. Pond Pros also supplies &
installs commercial style filtration, fountain, & aeration equipment for large
applications.
Aquarium Illusions Inc. & Pond Pros employs 17 local people. Being family owned,
Aquarium Illusions Inc. carries only the products & equipment they know to be good.
There is no franchise dictating what appears on their shelves. If Aquarium Illusions Inc.
experiences above normal returns or warranty problems with a product, they pull it from
their shelves. They also try out all water additive products & food to see if they
pass their standards. The maintenance service department allows them to use, service, and
learn firsthand about numerous products & equipment, otherwise would not be feasibly
possible.
