Basic Pond Eqipment

Pond Liner Compared to using a rigid liner for your pond this flexible liner makes construction a breeze. This liner is made from UV resistant 45mm EPDM and comes with a 20 year guarantee. While you can seam this liner with double sided seam tape it is best to use a single piece when possible. To figure out how much liner you need for your project just use this simple formula: Length of liner required = Max. length of pond + (2 x max. depth of pond) + 2 feet or larger overlap Width of liner required = Max. width of pond + (2 x max. depth of pond) + min. 2 feet or larger overlap A remote water fall feature will also require a piece of line the path of the falls. It is also a good idea to purchase a piece of Geotek Underlay material to place under the liner. It will provide a cushion to help prevent punctures from sharp objects under the liner and will also minimize stretching that could weaken the liner.
Skimmers A skimmer box installed at the surface level of your pond is the best way to capture water for your filtration system. Behind the fish safe floating door the Aquascape skimmer has a net to capture debris from the pond surface which significantly reduces the amount of maintenance required for your pond. Nylon brushes provide additional mechanical filtration. The back of the skimmer box provides enough room to easily install your pump and the included bulkheads make plumbing much simpler.
Waterfall Filters The Aquascape line includes preformed water falls large enough to provide filtration for ponds up to 5000 gallons. The rounded shapes and optional lids make it easy to integrate the waterfall with the landscaping on the edge of the pond. The removable weir provides a wide consistent output for your waterfall or stream and a leak free join with the pond liner. The bottom grate is raised off the bottom of the unit to ensure even water flow through the stack able filtration media. A variety of mechanical, chemical and biological filter mediums can be used with the unit.
UltraKlean Canister Filter The UltraKlean canister filter is a pressurized canister filter that provides great filtration for ponds up to 3500 gallons. The unit can be installed partially underground and is fed water by a pump in the pond or skimmer box. The large media capacity and patented cyclone action ensures maximum contact time with mechanical, chemical or biological media with minimal bypass. Also available are UltraKlean canisters with ultra violet sterilizers built in. The UV lamp in the canister is very effective for limiting water borne algae growth and also kills parasites that can infect your livestock.
AquaSurge Pumps AquaSurge™ Pumps are ideal for use as a high flow waterfall pump. Their unique design allows them to be used either vertically or horizontally. The asynchronous motor design ensures that the impeller spins in only one direction; maximizing performance, reliability and minimizing electrical consumption. Models are available that provide from 2000 gallons per hour to 7000 gallons per hour of water movement.

Aquascape has a full line of decorative products available that add character to your pond. Underwater safe, low power LED lighting combined with an ultrasonic fog generator makes amazing effects simple. Attractive landscape lighting adds a new dimension to your pond by bringing it to life at night.
